The 2020 presidential debate dates and locations have been announced
The 2020 presidential debates are prepped and ready, even if their contenders aren't.
On Friday, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced locations and dates for the 2020 general election debates. They're scattered across the U.S., and the traditional Hofstra University location has been replaced with one Democratic contender's hometown.
To start, the Democratic nominee will face off with President Trump at Notre Dame University on Sept. 29 2020. That would provide a solid home field advantage for South Bend, Indiana's own Mayor Pete Buttigieg if he becomes the nominee. Next up, there will be a vice presidential debate on Oct. 7 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Two more presidential debates will follow, on Oct. 15 at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus, and on Oct. 22 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
