Donald Trump declared the voting system "totally unfair" after he suffered delegate-related setbacks to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina, and Indiana between Thursday and Saturday, hurting him in what could very well be a contested convention in July. Politico estimates that Trump now has 743 delegates to Cruz's 545 in the race to 1,237.

Trump is particularly incensed about Cruz picking up all the delegates in Colorado, a loss that many attribute to his campaign's lack of organization, but which Trump equates to Coloradans getting "their vote taken away from them by the phony politicians." On Monday, Trump called it a "crooked deal" in a phone interview on Fox News.

Trump's luck will likely change in the New York primary on April 19, where he is strongly favored.
