Check out Boston's glowing, futuristic Olympic bid logo

The Boston 2024 Executive Committee is calling this shining blue octagon a beacon. It's relatively innocuous in its 2D form, if slightly similar to the Chase bank logo, but in its official promo video the logo is transformed into a glowing hologram that is passed from a horse-riding Paul Revere to athletes who are running, diving, and rowing around Boston.

So far, the design has mixed reviews with some calling it just plain confusing. But it has at least impressed some Tron fans who say the beacon bears an uncanny resemblance to the movie's key piece of equipment, the Identity Disc. Watch the video below and decide if you love it, hate it, or want to wear it. —Lauren Hansen
