Hotel of the week: Little City Farm B&B, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
The Little City Farm B&B is a picture of homegrown goodness, said Lauren Carter in National Geographic Traveler.
The Little City Farm B&B is a picture of homegrown goodness, said Lauren Carter in National Geographic Traveler. Though just outside of Kitchener, the urban homestead feels far from the city’s bustle. The “roomy guest quarters” of the 100-year-old home overlook a greenhouse and a vegetable garden, “where shiitake mushrooms grow on a log set in the shade.” Handpicked flowers brighten each guestroom, and organic linens grace the beds. Best of all is the homemade breakfast of “herb-stuffed omelets, spelt pancakes,” and freshly baked bread—all made from locally grown ingredients.
