The retro-pop stylings of Fitz and The Tantrums are so unapologetically energetic that it's not hard to see why their singles have ascended to the top of the U.S. alternative charts. Though it's been a year since the release of their sophomore album, More Than Just a Dream, the Southern Californian sextet has continued to tour relentlessly behind it, proving that they're still one of the hardest working bands on the festival circuit (Vogue anointed themwith this title back in 2011).

The Week sat down with frontman Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick and vocalist Noelle Scaggs at New York City's Governors Ball to talk about Beyoncé, tour mates, and the dark side of sex. Below, six of their favorite songs for those intimate moments:
