1. Chuck Palahniuk is working on a sequel to Fight Club
Today, in things we're not supposed to talk about: Author Chuck Palahniuk is working on a sequel to his novel Fight Club, which was adapted into a cultishly beloved film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in 1999. According to Palahniuk, the sequel — which will likely take the form of a graphic novel — will pick up ten years after the ending of the original, with protagonists Jack and Marla suffering from "middle-aged suburban boredom" when their child is kidnapped. Palahniuk adds that the sequel will be "dark and messy" — which is, coincidentally, exactly how we're feeling about it. [Slashfilm]

2. Yes, Miley Cyrus' new song is about doing ecstasy
Much of the buzz around Miley Cyrus' new single "We Can't Stop" has centered on a single lyric that has been interpreted, alternately, as "dancing with Miley" and "dancing with molly," which is a slang term for ecstasy. It's a debate that has provoked considerable interest, given Cyrus' whole "Disney star" thing. And though the song's producer insisted the lyric was "Miley," Miley herself didn't get the memo. "If you're aged ten it's Miley. If you know what I'm talking about then you know," said Cyrus in an interview with The Daily Mail. Unfortunately, mysterious doppelganger Hannah Montana could not be reached for comment. [TMZ]

3. Lisa Kudrow says the Friends movie still isn't happening
To the continued irritation of both NBC and the show's massive audience, Friends still isn't there for us — at least not in the form of a movie. In an interview on CNN, star Lisa Kudrow confirmed, yet again, that there are no plans to reunite the show's cast. "There was never a Friends movie. Ever," said Kudrow. "I don't know what else I need to say. It's really not happening." Anyone who still needs their Friends fix is advised to turn to one of the 12 channels currently airing a Friends rerun. 4. Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift still have a ton of money
Earlier this week, Forbes released its annual list of the wealthiest celebrities under the age of 30 — and surprise, surprise, a bunch of really famous people still have a ton of money. From a list that also includes such pop-cultural luminaries as Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga sits on top with a reported $80 million in touring and record sales, which is probably enough to buy a really good meat dress (perhaps filet mignon this time). 5. Someone stole $70,000 of equipment from A Flock of Seagulls
If you've been waiting to see A Flock of Seagulls in concert — and you don't have a hot tub time machine that can send you back to the 1980s — you're temporarily out of luck. According to Fox News, the new wave band recently lost more than $70,00 worth of equipment after someone stole their rented van from its parking spot outside a gig in Downey, Calif. As for how the thief has eluded justice so far, we assume they ran, they ran so far away. [Fox News]
